A cloud of gloom enveloped Campion School this mid-afternoon on the sad demise of former principal Fr. Joe Saldanha (1971-1980). He was unwell and undergoing treatment in Mumbai. The management and the staff of Campion School Bhopal conducted a short prayer meeting and observed silence to pay homage to the departed soul.

         The vice-principal of the school Fr. Tej Kumar Minj, S. J. prayed for the departed soul. The senior staff members, Mr. A. K. Ojha and Dr. S. C. Shukla who were appointed and had worked under him for a long duration remembered the towering personality with nostalgia. They all remembered him as a strict disciplinarian yet humane, a man with sharp memory, a strong pillar of Campion who always promoted excellence in every field.

         As a mark of reverence the school will remain closed on 13^th March2010.
